Foam Techniques achieves ISO14001 Accreditation
In 2014 Foam Techniques became a zero to landfill business, sending none of its waste to landfill and working with its partners to ensure best practice to minimise all waste. This was at the time a significant move and one which required change throughout the business but which set out a clear direction for our business. At the same time the company targeted ISO14001 to further enhance its offering to customers and as a way of formalising the company’s Environmental principles.
Its therefore fantastic news that we can confirm accreditation to ISO14001 following a full review of our systems and business practices by an independent auditor.
Led by David Foy (Business Systems Manager) a huge amount of effort has been made by all at Foam Techniques to align our systems to ensure compliance. As well as sending zero to landfill significant work has been made to reduce energy usage, minimise waste of all types and to reduce our VOC emissions by around 25% during the current year during a period of significant growth.
Our customers can now not only benefit from dealing with a business that is managing its own environmental impact but can also use this to strengthen their own environmental credentials.
Stephen Thomas (Operations Director) stated “what became clear from talking to a number of our customers is that something we did to strengthen our own business has great meaning for many of our customers, as an ISO9001 accredited company achieving ISO14001 further enhances the offering of Foam Techniques and further sets us aside from the others in our sector”.
Our next objective is to achieve ISO18001 and to create a totally integrated system, we expect to complete this process during 2017. This along with our Investors in People accreditation provides our customers with the assurance that we working to the highest standards in all areas of the business.
