Foam Techniques first opened its doors in April 1987, employing 3 people, the brainchild of Vinay Relan and Neil Blythe, both with already proven track records in the fast growing and developing foam industry. Their aim was to develop a business which put customers first and, with this one simple focus, rapidly grew the business, supplying a number of blue chip customers. In just five years they outgrew the 3,000 square foot start-up unit and moved into a purpose built facility of 30,000 square feet. Continued growth required the site to be further developed and today Foam Techniques operates from 45,000 square feet, Neil and Vinay are now supported by a team of over 60 people and have grown the turnover to exceed £7 million.

Throughout the history of Foam Techniques the world has changed and through their hands-on approach, Neil and Vinay and also their growing workforce have changed to reflect the needs of customers. The business operates its own fleet of delivery vehicles and has partnerships in place with some of the world’s largest chemical companies.

Remaining at the forefront of the foam industry has been no easy task but today the company is recognised as the ‘Home of Foam’ both nationally and internationally.

No project is too large or too small, every enquiry is treated with the greatest level of care and with a talented team of foam engineers almost anything is possible. As with it's products, it'sapproach is totally flexible, large stocks held in the Wellingborough warehouse mean fast turnaround from design inception to volume delivery, rapid prototyping to full production tooling, all designed to meet your production objectives.

As well as a history the company has a future, the aim is to continue to grow and develop the business to support the ever changing needs of customers. Today’s objective is no different than that when the doors first opened, simply to give customers what they need, when they need it at the most competitive price possible.
